Country View Dairy Yogurt to be Served at the U.S. Open

MILWAUKEE, WI – The 117th U.S. Open Championship Golf Tournament just wrapped up on Sunday where the best golfers from around the world battle it out for the title of this major golf tournament.  This year it was held at Erin Hills Golf Course West of Milwaukee and Country View Dairy of Hawkeye has a local connection.

Troubadour Bakery in Milwaukee has been using Country View Dairy yogurt in all of their 16 Colectivo Coffee cafes for about a year now & were chosen to cater the large event.  When Bob Howard of Country View was visiting their office in Milwaukee last month Bakery Manager Richard Specter let us know the great news that they will be very busy in July preparing to feed the crowds of over 30,000 per day and would like to use the Country View yogurt but did not think logistically it would work with multiple deliveries & storage space issues. Howard, Director of Sales for Country View went to work on making sure they could receive multiple deliveries & the additional yogurt could be made & delivered in time for the tournament.  People from all over the country & even the world attend this annual event so it is an honor to know such a varied audience was able to try Country View Dairy award-winning vanilla yogurt for the first time in the Parfaits that were served at the hospitality tents throughout the tournament.  “We value Troubadour Bakery & Colectivo as a customer & for working with us to be sure our product was also included in the menu” Howard said.

The Rapson family & staff have been making yogurt on their dairy farm in Northeast Iowa for over 5 years now and offer 16 different flavors of Traditional style & Greek style yogurts to over 100 stores in 7 states as well as many schools, colleges & hospitals across the Upper Midwest.

COUNTRY VIEW DAIRY BEGINS DISTRIBUTION WITH U.W. PROVISION

Starting this month U.W. Provision out of Madison, Wisconsin has agreed to start distribution of Country View Dairy’s line of farmstead yogurt products to their customers throughout the upper Midwest states they serve.  UW Provision is know for delivering high quality meat products to their customers for over 50 years but are also in the food distribution business to grocery stores, colleges and other food service institutions.  This is born out of the loss of Sugar River Dairy’s homestead line of yogurt that ceased production in July of this year.  Many of those customers will be switching over to Country View Dairy’s line of yogurt.  This will help Country View Dairy to improve their footprint in the state of Wisconsin which they had intentionally stayed away from prior to this, as to not compete with their friends at Sugar River Dairy out of Albany, Wisconsin.
